Testimonials
In the years 1998 and 1999 we sold young bird kits and also sold our race team at the end of the seasons. Here are a few stories from the results of selling those birds.
Chris Kumar
One of the young bird kits was sold to Chris Kumar, who later told me that they were some of the best birds he ever had and wanted more. Chris is a pigeon friend that I met through the sale of these birds. I see him every year and he is still very complimentary with kind words about my pigeon family 10 years later. Thanks Chris.
Niagara Falls Area
The flyers from the Niagara Falls area bought most of the old birds both years. I have had calls from most of them reporting that they had great success with these birds, when breeding them into their families or flying them straight. In 2008 I went to a few functions in the Hamilton Clubhouse where I ran into flyers from Niagara and each time they gave me great reports on how the birds fly for them to this day. Last time I went to the Hamilton Clubhouse was in the fall of 2008 and some members ordered more, again after 10 years of the first purchase. A couple of years ago the top old bird flyer from the Niagara area told me he had a CU Champion old bird from this family.
Steve Heard
We have helped start flyers over the years. We helped Steve Heard a fancy pigeon man that came to the house wanting to get into flying. He moved to Paris, Ontario and began flying with the Oxford RPC. Where with our family of birds Steve dominated a very strong club and combine, he also won a big open race. He was flying against flyers such as Pete Sloan in the South Western Combine.
Christopher Mulders
We also help to start a young man named Christopher Mulders on the right foot with our family of pigeons. Flying in the Bowmanville RPC where he won races and a combine open. Since then he moved to the Newcastle RPC and has flown great. He has topped the combine at the 600 (Long Lac) and has won many races since with 95% of his birds coming from our lines.
Kris Marshman
In 2007, Kris Marshman topped the combine from the 600 (Long Lac) with a bird raised at the Horner Family Lofts. That bird was off a son of the Gretzky Hen and a V Wan Roy hen import that we purchased a couple years earlier.
Kenny Foster
Last year (2008) Kenny Foster took 10 young ones home to fly in the AU Race in the Up North Combine. After all the training and loft flying 9 went to the race, 3 of those birds scored in the top 12 positions in the race. Kenny has already asked to do it again this coming year.
Dr. Hossam Yassein
Last year Dr. Hossam Yassein asked if he could borrow a pair of stichelbauts for the year as he had been admiring them at shipping for years and wanted to try a pair. He borrowed one pair, the Oboma cock named by Dr. Yassein and a daughter of the 7257 cock. He raised 4 young ones and flew them every week of the schedule in 2 Combines, capturing some 1st place clocking positions with them. He had at the end of the year 4 out of 4 remaining. He is very excited about trying these young ones in old birds and blending this bloodline in with his. Incidentally I received a call from the Dr. in the fall and he has borrowed 2 cocks to try breeding from this year.
Paul Bennett
Last year in 2008 Paul Bennett from the Oshawa General RPC called me and asked me to come and look at his birds. He asked me what I thought of his family. I told him they look good but I believe they needed some vigor. I lent him 5 pairs of my family and advised him to try some straight and cross some in with his families. Paul reported that the straight birds were his first home every week. The crosses were next home every week. Paul has acquired some breeding pairs of my family since that experiment.
Many flyers have won and are still winning with these birds the list goes on and on.
We have had lots of success stories not listed but that’s enough for now as new stories are reported we will post them on a tab for news flashes.
If you have a success story you would like to share with us about our family of birds please contact us, we would be happy to hear from you.
