Empire Classic One Loft Race

Year two of the Classic Race we won 1st and 5th overall average speed against over 800 birds. In the first three years of the Empires existence we have won over $12,500 in prizes, as well as a Unicon clocking unit.

Oshawa Gold Bond,

Canada’s largest young bird derby flying over 300 miles Over the years of flying this derby we have one of the most successful records and have flown this race from over six locations Winning more prize payouts then almost every other loft With four 2nd place finishes and many, many top ten positions

These are just Open and One Loft results spanning a time period from our early results to current results. Listed to show you how The Horner Family pigeons remain a powerful loft year after year. We have also won CU awards and awards of excellence whenever we have applied for these awards

We have also watched our birds win awards and combine wins for other lofts in both old and young birds.

Since 1999 when dad had his stroke, we stopped flying old birds. However the last few years I have shipped the old birds as dad loves to watch them come home. Their record hasn’t been to bad considering I have not trained.

As far as averages we have won average speed in the combine, young birds, and 2 out of the last 4 years 45 lofts and over.

As we stated earlier we have numerous combine win, too many to list. We fly in a very competitive, very big combine. The frontage on our combine is over 100 miles wide. Until two years ago we became a sectioned combine for sectioned releases on any race fewer than 300 miles. All races over 300 miles are a joint release with over 70 members in our combine. We will post and keep the website updated with future results. For now I believe this indicates that we have one of the strongest families of pigeons in the sport.
